About Us
Where movement meets feeling.
Routine began with a simple idea: what if feeling good wasn’t something you stumbled into, but something you could return to — again and again?
For Michaela, that journey started years ago while searching for relief from chronic back pain. After trying everything — PT, acupuncture, chiropractic, decompression therapy — nothing stuck. Until Pilates did. It was the first workout that didn’t hurt. The first one that felt fun. The first one that made her stronger without setting her back. Before long, she was addicted to the habit, teaching Nick moves on the reformer in their living room, and driving to Portland multiple times a week because Midcoast didn’t have what she was craving.
Instead of waiting for someone to build it, she decided she would.
Routine was created from that same energy: curiosity, possibility, and a deep desire to design a space that feels good to be in. A place where movement, recovery, and community all live under one roof. Where people of all ages and abilities — star athletes, grandparents, total beginners — feel taken care of and excited to walk through the door.
Pilates is the heart of what we do, but we’re building far beyond a single modality. Routine blends strength, mobility, and evidence-backed wellness tools with a warm, not-at-all-intimidating environment. You’ll find professional-grade equipment, highly trained instructors, and classes designed to meet you where you are — not where you “should” be.
Whether it’s your first class ever or your new favorite ritual, you’ll get clarity, encouragement, and a little bit of fun along the way.
